Description

Offering a pair of ormolu candlesticks or candle holders measuring 16-1/2" tall on top of 6" marble bases. Each has a different scene of Venice with reverse paint on glass and the glass is held with a brown metal place. Note that the brown of the plate shows through in the scenes, which makes it look like part of the painting, but I did not take it apart. I do not believe there is loss of paint, but please look at pictures carefully. It is extremely old (mid to late 1800s), and overall they are in very good condition. It is either Venetian or Baroque style. Please let me know if you have questions.
