The pelham bit is usually used with two sets of reins.  The top rein works on the corners of the horse's mouth assisting in turning and bending while the bottom rein acts primarily on
the bars, helping with control and collection.
Includes curb hooks & chain.  "DA" is marked on the mouthpiece

This bit is lightly used.   It is still very clean and shiny.
On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being new, mint condition, I would give this bit a 9+.
