Apple Green color with 50 scallop rim.
Description for this plate is from the original insert -
"The Maryland State House in Annapolis is the oldest
State Capital in the United States. The State House was
begun in 1772. Work was interrupted by the Revolutionary War,
but the structure was finally completed in 1779. From
November 26, 1783 to August 13, 1784, it housed the
Continental Congress, the governing body of the new
United States of America. This body met in the Old
Senate Chamber, as it is known today; & it was in this
room that General George Washington resigned his
commission as Commander-in-Chief of the
Continental Army, etc."
